First Aid Kits

(UPDATED: July 13, 2015)

You'll never know when it will come. You'll never know what will happen. You'll never know when you'll need it. Fact is, you need to have one of these. What am I talking about? First aid kits. There will be times where you will need to act fast to heal cuts or treat injuries. There have been a few times where even I needed some help treating some of my own cuts. You can treat certain situations without having to phone a doctor or a hospital. We can't have doctors and nurses with us 24/7, so we need to know how to take care of ourselves and only rely on doctor and hospital help for serious situations.

This blog entry concerns First Aid kits. They are things you need to have for when disaster may strike. You want to be able to have something on hand to treat anything that may require medical attention. It also debuts a new blog label- Health and Safety, a blog label of mine that concerns health and of safety for any blog entries I do regarding these things.

Let's begin!

--- Personal Insight ---

Back when I've regularly been in college, I remember that with everything I carried, I brought along bandages and some ointment. Why? I might need them. I remember one time in Biology 1 in 2006, I had dropped a test tube or something, and ended up cutting myself. I quickly reached into my backpack and squirted some ointment on a bandage to treat the cut. I was fine... just except for the cut on my finger. I basically had a ho-hum First Aid kit. I knew I'll be fine as long as I had some First Aid (even if it's just some ointment and bandages) with me.

But what if you have an injury or something? You'll obviously need a real First Aid kit with all kinds of items on hand to help you feel better. The reason why we have First Aid kits is so that you can be able to treat your own cuts and injuries without needing to call a doctor or a hospital. There are First Aid kits for a variety of purposes ranging from home use to business/workplace use. There are even First Aid kits that can be found in cars for when you're on the road. The real key things you'll need are bandages, some ointment, and in case of injuries- gauze

When it comes to finding the right First Aid kit for you and your needs, it's important to know what to look for in a First Aid Kit. A First Aid kit can range from a sandwich bag with some bandages and ointment to a proper and complete First Aid kit. Situations for where First Aid kits are needed range from treating a cut to treating an injury after a natural disaster. To find some hints as to how to find the right First Aid kit, there is a good piece courtesy of SafetyED.org.
