If you are looking for a new home in the Houston-Galveston area, "At Home in Houston" may be able to help you find your first home or new home. Hosted by Varonnica, she introduces you each week to the available homes for sale through Coldwell Banker Realty. Coldwell Banker is one of the premier realtors not only in the United States, but the entire world. So the featured homes are of distinct quality ranging from simple homes to luxurious mansions.
Episodes of "At Home in Houston" feature various homes around the Houston-Galveston area. Each home is its own star, complete with information on the home itself, its location, various pictures of the property, the asking price for the home, and the Coldwell Banker agents wanting to provide you a tour of that home. There is usually one Coldwell Banker agent for each house, but there may sometimes be multiple agents wanting to tell you about certain featured homes. The featured homes have a lot of different pictures to show you the property being offered for sale. A description of each home is given by one of two voice over talents. You also get to see where in the Houston-Galveston area you can find each home. Some homes do not have prices disclosed to them. Instead, prices for some homes are offered by request. In case you missed any of the homes featured in each episode or want to see them again, there is a Coldwell Banker Recap showcasing each of the homes in that episode of "At Home in Houston." These recaps show only the first picture of each home followed by the pricing information, location, agent(s) selling the home, and more.
"At Home in Houston" vs. "Hot On! Homes.
If you read my past post regarding "Hot On! Homes," there is a difference between the two programs. "Hot On! Homes" primarily features different communities, as opposed to individual homes. "At Home in Houston" features individual homes for sale in different communities. "Hot On! Homes" has various communities with different builders and different realtors. "At Home in Houston" exclusively features homes sold by Coldwell Banker with homes built by various builders.My Thoughts.
One thing I like about this show is that it doesn't discriminate between only showing beautiful and expensive homes. A home on the show can be featured for any range of prices. I saw one house on one episode sell for $1.2K USD that was small and suited more for a college student wanting an inexpensive house. Some houses admittedly can be made better with upgrades and may need some extra work to get the houses into better shape. The house descriptions will even make note of this and tell you during the program. Conversely, I saw one home on the show sell for as much as $2.25M USD that was a mansion and for the "I Made It" executive crowd. The various homes in the Houston-Galveston area are very interesting to know they exist in the area. Personally, I enjoy watching this show just to see various lovely homes of different price points.Video Previews.
