FitFlops and Shape Ups

FitFlops and Skechers' Shape Ups line are about giving your body a workout as you go. These are primarily shoes to wear when you want a workout, but don't want to hit the gym. And considering how almost every femme has at least one pair of flip-flops, it is a pair of sandals no one person can pass up. It's more than your average pair of gladiator thong sandals. And what about those Shape Ups from Skechers? These shoes have about the same kind of "workout without going to the gym" quality to them.

--- Basic Opinions on These ---

I've never seen FitFlops in person, and only once have I seen Shape Ups actually being worn. The premise here is on getting a workout without having to spend hours at the gym. Nothing sounds more like a sell than promoting something to be the next best thing without having to go to any extreme. The extreme discussed here is on going to the gym to work out rather than having to go to the gym. If you're just looking for any fashionable pair of shoes, these probably are not the kinds you want to go for. What I think is that this shouldn't be a substitute for exercise. Having these shoes help, but just don't RELY on them to be your source of fitness. In fact, if you've seen the FitFlop video, they are not recommended for all strenous activity. These shoes are merely, basically, just walking shoes (maybe running, but I wouldn't chance it).

I can't believe I've had a few blog entries regarding fitness, because I am in no way a fitness buff. I don't specialize in this department. I do think they aren't a bad way to get some exercise while also wearing something fashionable and different. I think anyone who loves wearing flip-flops and constantly walking around in them should at least consider FitFlops to stay fit. The extra cushioning should be more than enough to where your feet shouldn't feel constricted all the time.

As with the Shape Ups, you are talking about a great variety of shoes with that uneven design. You femmes out there have many options with these since they come in many styles. These are styles ranging from your average fitness-type sneakers to very cute mary jane-style sneakers. There are even a few Shape Up sandals and boots from the Skechers line.
