In times such as a pandemic, we need any sort of thing to keep happiness and hope intact. I finally got around to play a game called "Hamster Collection." This is another game sort of like "Neko Atsume" or "Spoon Pets Collector." However, is it as good as these two aforementioned games? I will share my thoughts in this blog post.

Let's play with some hamsters!

"Hamster Collection" allows you to raise and take care of. It was developed by a Japanese developer named Ciagram, CO., LTD. Ciagram is known more for their romantic novel style games. You place treats and toys in your hamster cage for the hamsters to interact with. You can expand your cage to allow more hamsters to visit the cage. A total of 17 hamsters can be raised. The items you can buy cost either regular Seeds or Golden Seeds. Premium material can be purchased with Golden Seeds. If you lack the finances to get a lot of Seeds, you may use in-app purchases to gain more currency good towards buying more material in the game.

What makes "Hamster Collection" different is that you can actually interact with your hamsters. More importantly, you can pet your hamsters to improve their Affection levels. You can earn parts good towards more exclusive toys that can't be bought from the Shop once you reach full Affection with your hamsters. To gain Affection, you will need to pet them by swiping back and forth on your touchscreen when petting them. You can improve Affection up to about 5% each time. After petting them, you will not be able to pet them again until usually after two hours.

A good thing to note is that the hamsters do not have to be physically in your cage to learn of their involvement. Usually with games like "Neko Atsume" or "Spoon Pets Collector," you have to check that you capture certain animals in your play space in order to gauge their qualities. "Hamster Collection" will let you know of any activities your hamsters do even when you don't see them interact with your food or toys. The game even documents certain behaviors captured.

One other interesting aspect of this game is that hamsters are nocturnal creatures. So therefore, they are more active at night than they are in the daytime. You might want to spend more time playing this game at night so you can see and play with all the cute hamsters!

"Hamster Collection" features a handful of adorable hamsters to play with. Fun visuals and an adorable setting makes this game pretty fun to play. My complaints are few. For one thing, I have found it tough for the game to use the Back button on my tablet PC to back out of some menus. That also includes not being able to close the game without having to suspend the game and close it. It can also be tough to generate funds outside of buying credits. Even tougher to get Golden Seeds. Other than that, this is a great game to relax with and enjoy some adorable hamsters.

"Fantastic Cats" is a casual cat game by a Korean developer named DazzlePlay, Inc. In "Fantastic Cats," you are a blogger looking to try to provide an intimate look into the minds of various cats. You play the role of a blogger trying to blog about the Fantastic Behaviors of cats. Can you try to help this blogger recognize this vision? Placing food and toys around your cafe will help lure some cats to play. The real joy comes in trying to discover the Fantastic Behaviors of these cats.

"Fantastic Cats" may seem a lot like "Neko Atsume" at first, but this game is more about exploring the minds and talents of cats rather just than try to collect multiple cats. You find out about cats based on toys you place in your yard. Once a cat enjoys a certain toy, you begin to sense certain personality aspects about them. You must then try to further learn about their personalities and special traits with more toys. More cats will eventually find your yard and play around with toys and eat. It is all up to you to try to find out what is all in the minds of these cats!

The Basics.

You begin with one toy and attracting one cat. You will need to place cat food in your yard in order to attract cats. You then proceed to add more toys and items to your yard. Items can be purchased using either Gold Coins or Dazzle Tokens. More interesting items can be purchased using Dazzle Tokens. If you have enough real money, you can purchase Gold Coins or Dazzle Coins using your own real money.

What are these "Fantastic Behaviors," anyways? Well, they are unique abilities each cat has that you are trying to expose. You only know what such Fantastic Behaviors are if the cats play with their favorite toys. If you seem to be in a hurry to try to discover Fantastic Behaviors, try feeding cats Catnip. The chances, however, are not very high you will discover Fantastic Behaviors with Catnip. You have a 30% chance of discovering Fantastic Behaviors with regular Catnip, and you have a 50% chance of discovering Fantastic Behaviors if you have Luxury Catnip.

After midnight, the in-game blog will be updated featuring pictures taken of various Fantastic Behaviors and other pictures. You earn Subscribers and Gold Coins based on your progress and in your observations. You will earn bonus material based on consectutive days looking into Fantastic Cats. So it is best you play the game some time after midnight to gauge your progress. You can connect via Google Play Games, Facebook, and Twitter.

I have reviewed three different mobile cat games this month, "Fantastic Cats" being the third. Of the three, I must say that I didn't enjoy "Fantastic Cats" as much as I did "Furistas Cat Cafe" or "Neko Atsume." The pace of this game game is too slow and not really as rewarding. It is tough to acquire money without having to spend real money just for in-game credit. The concept and the appeal are there in this game. I even enjoy the cute meow sounds when browsing the cats. The background song is nice. I am kind of hit-and-miss on the cats. They either look extremely mean or feel like I am invading their privacy. In the long run, I just couldn't enjoy this game too much to where I would want to play it again or recommend it to anyone. It is a nice experience, but it could have been a lot better to me.

Furistas Cat Cafe

Ever wanted to own your own cafe? What about taking care of cats? Furistas Cat Cafe lets you do both! This is a game that allows you to connect customers with cats. How cool is that? Or I'll tell you how cool in this blog post. This is my own review of "Furistas Cat Cafe" here on "John's Blog Space."

There are some cat cafes in real life. Such cafes allow for customers to not only enjoy good food and good drinks, but they also get to play around with many cats. One game allows you to run your own cat cafe. That game is called "Furistas Cat Cafe" by a studio called Runaway Play. In "Furistas Cat Cafe," you are in charge of your own cat cafe. Your job is to take in adopted and stray cats and let them connect with visitors. You must also take care of your cat cafe while also taking care of the cats and your customers. It is a lot of work, but you can do it!

I learned of "Furistas Cat Cafe" after seeing some recommended games after I looked at "Neko Atsume." I thought the concept of this game was adorable and wanted to give it a try. I therefore tried out this free game to prepare a review based on my current progress in the game. It was even listed as an Editor's Choice pick, so I'm sure it had to be worth a look-see.

"Furistas Cat Cafe" is available for Android and iOS. It is a free game with in-app purchases and ads.

The Basics.

The game gives you one cat to begin with and some early options for furnishing your cafe. Your job is try to please your visitors by giving them a cat to play with. Customers have specific preferences as for what kind of cat they prefer playing with. However, giving any visitor any cat (regardless of customers' preferences) is enough to help nurture cats and level them up. Some cats may even be starved for attention and need some cuddling to help them feel better. You also have to cater to the needs of keeping the establishment clean while also providing meals for customers. As business goes along, more cats and more items become available. Do everything you can to please both your cats and your customers.

The cats themselves are the stars in "Furistas Cat Cafe." Each cat features their own personalities as well as a handful of adorable animations. They happily play around the cafe and even sleep. Perhaps more adorable than the cats themselves are the customers who cuddle and play with the cats. Being so loved and humbled is so sweet to watch in this game. If anything, just seeing the unique bond between human and cat is worth even watching this game, let alone play it.

When a customer is done cuddling a cat you hooked them up with, a reward is left behind. These rewards are mostly Hearts to help level up cats. These rewards depend on the cuddle time a customer spends with a cat. The longer the cuddling, the more Hearts can be earned. These Hearts can then be used to nurture cats. When their level improves, they can be cuddled and played with for longer. When enough Hearts have been collected, you win a Basket. These Baskets are filled with items and rewards. You must wait a certain amount of time to claim the items within each basket. Or if you want to expedite the claim process, you must either spend some KittyKash or watch a video. Watching a video will knock off about 30 minutes of the delivery time. Any Baskets currently being delivered means other baskets will have to be unlocked with KittyKash while the original basket in the queue is being delivered. So it's best you close the application and not play it for a few hours or so if you want to get your rewards. Daily Baskets can also be obtained. You can double your earnings from these daily Baskets by watching a video.

There are daily tasks to complete each day. Completing all of the tasks for the day will grant you the most rewards. So be sure to play daily to maximize your earnings and rewards. There are also some unique promotions that you can take advantage of to gain extra goods. For example, there may be an event that will allow you to multiple your Fish earnings to have more in able to unlock new cats or level up certain cats.

As you progress through the game, you will unlock more content. This content includes more cats, more furniture, an expanded cafe, and more. Your cafe will also be much busier as you try to keep entity happy along with keeping the cafe clean. It is a good idea to take part in following the social media platforms of "Furistas Cat Cafe" to win extra KittyKash. KittyKash can be tough to come by unless you pay your own money to gain extra credits.

"Furistas Cat Cafe" is an adorable game offering cute cats and a fairly challenging casual game experience. This is a wonderful game as you are able to connect with your cats and your customers. There is not really any feeling of needed grinding. The cats are the stars in this game, and they have some adorable animations! Even more adorable is how sweet and loving the cafe customers are in playing with cats. It is as if they really care and are easily enamored by the cuteness of these cats. The game gets a bit tougher once business starts going well. "Furistas Cat Cafe" is a fun casual game experience I think even non-cat lovers can appreciate. It is such a sweet game that can be relaxing and enjoyable. It will surely keep you busy for a good amount of time.

Dolphins

Dolphins may be the most fascinating sea creatures in existence. They are credited as being some of the most intelligent creatures in the world. They are also rather friendly mammals and can even pull some amazing tricks and stunts. You won't hear of a "Dolphin Apocalypse" or anything. These are amazing creatures. This blog post is not meant to be a detailed post about dolphins, but rather a brief and casual post on them. So I hope you'll enjoy this post.

Dolphins are incredibly interesting. Can you think of any sort of famous dolphins? Many know of Flipper. Many gamers know of Ecco. Some others even recall dolphins helping Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi in "Super Mario World." No matter what, you can't help but be fascinated with dolphins. A friend of mine from my college days loves dolphins, and so I kind of thought of her when I came up with this blog post.

I guess what I find most fascinating about dolphins is just how intelligent they are in addition to being very friendly. Dolphins are mostly not predatory animals, though I read they tend to kill porpoises as I was researching this topic. Some dolphins are even used by military. From what I read on that front, dolphins in military use are more like the water equivalent of bomb-sniffing dogs or try to move out water mines. There was even a study once that suggested that dolphins could help boost the mood in people who suffer from depression.

Needless to say... dolphins almost seem like natural wonders to us all.

Communication.

Dolphins use certain sounds and calls to communicate with others. These include some rather loud noises and even some clicking sounds. Take a look at this video for a sample of dolphins answering questions:

I mentioned Ecco the Dolphin earlier. If you played the classic Genesis/Megadrive game series before, communication is important to conversate and even navigate your way through the game. It is a fantasy game, but it is just an example of dolphins communicating.

Let me share with you this video of dolphins performing tricks. It may not be like what you'd see at Sea World, but this is a fine showcase of dolphins and some of the tricks and stunts they can pull. Note also the trainers playing with the dolphins:

Cats

Cats have surely gained popularity in recent times. Especially on the Internet scene, a variety of cats have made themselves quite the stars. Cats have been my favorite animals for most of my life. I've been fond of cats since childhood. There's just something about them that just really makes me like them. Maybe I liken cats as being intelligent creatures, always curious and ambitious, able to stand their own ground, are very agile and adaptive... there is just something to love about cats. Much as I've done with rabbits and horses previously... it is time I blog about cats.

BEFORE I BEGIN...

This blog post is a reborn version of a past blog post. It was first released on October 10, 2011; and the last update to it was in January 25, 2012. It has been very poor in getting views- some 36 views were accumulated in its time since. Being disappointed with its performance, I deleted the old post and brought it back with a new makeover. So this blog post has been made over and reborn.

I understand the importance of establishing a positive atmosphere, so I want to do nothing more than offer a positive and fun place for which to discuss a topic like this. Do you love cats? I hope this blog post will warm your heart. This is dedicated to all of you who love cats. I hope you will be able to enjoy all that I have to provide for all of you.

I know there are people who would rather prefer dogs over cats. Often times, I get jaded about always hearing about vicious dogs being involved attacking people as well as other dogs. How often do you hear of violent cats (except for the ferocious cats, like panthers, tigers, lions, etc.)? It's almost as if people tend to dislike cats so much that they usually have them neglected. Again- there are lots more people who'd rather have dogs than cats, but as a cat lover, cats need the own time in the spotlight.

What Do Cats Signify to/for People?

I don't know my cat breeds too well and what makes them different. You have cat types like Scottish Folds, tabbies, and cats like that. Many nations have such felines in their coat of arms, on their flag, or even as icons of a city or nation. Having such fierce felines (especially lions) usually signify power and wisdom. For example, Singapore's mascot is the Merlion- a mermaid lion. The use of such felines mean many things to many people in many applications.

If you're a sports fan, you've heard of lots of feline-nicknamed teams.

For example... here are some pro examples of feline mascots: the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Tigers, Florida Panthers, and the Arizona Sabrecats.

Now for MANY college examples about feline mascots: University of Houston Cougars, Louisiana State University Tigers, Auburn University Tigers, University of Kentucky Wildcats, University of Pittsburgh Panthers, Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions, Brigham Young University Cougars, Arizona Wildcats, Western Carolina Catamounts, Lafayette Leopards, Northern Iowa Panthers, College of Charleston Cougars, Chicago State Cougars, IUPUI Jaguars, Tuskegee University Golden Tigers, and teams like that. Even sports teams can appreciate the ferocity and character felines have. Even here in Houston, we are sometimes called the Wildcat City, and us Houstonians are sometimes called Wildcatters. Wildcatters was one of the nicknames that was considered to name the team eventually called... the Houston Texans of the NFL. So even sports teams can appreciate feline mascots and nicknames and what each represents.


This blog post is my virtual salute to cats. So be proud to be here for this post on John's Blog Space, especially if you love cats! What you will see mostly is of videos dedicated to all of you cat lovers out there. This post contains everything from cute kittens to some more fierce felines. Cats of all kinds? I gots 'em, yo! :)

Horses

I love cats and rabbits, but I've recently been fond of horses. I'd never want to own a horse or learn to ride a horse. However, I do think horses are beautiful creatures. Maybe it's just the fact that horses are just so majestic as they romp around stables and out in the open. I sometimes see some horse riders ride their horses on the grass or something as cars roll by. This blog post is mostly driven by YouTube videos more than

Maybe this blog post will appeal to you if you love horses or are fond of horses. Consider this a compliment to my blog post about rabbits that I did long ago.

Whether for keeping in stables, doing equestrian events, horse racing, or whatever the case... horses are truly beautiful creatures. They are muscular and have lovely flowing manes and tails. Think about seeing a horse roam freely in a ranch or out in the open. Just seeing a horse gallop and roam freely is just a beautiful sight. What about those into sports involving horses? Whether it's some equestrian events, rodeo, or horse racing (which I am not any kind of fan of); horses are great animals.

I do NOT know my breeds of horses. If I do have a favorite kind of horse, I've always found Clydesdales to be beautiful horses. You may be familiar with Clydesdales if you watch Budweiser commercials. Those are really the only breed of horses I am familiar with. Them, and other kinds that I only know of from sports teams: mustangs, colts, broncos, stuff like that.

There was a news story I once saw where mustangs were being threatened by certain people. I am not any kind of animal activist (or any kind of activist), but those were some beautiful horses being threatened by a certain organization or some bunch of heartless idiots. It was an unusual way that I became compassionate for the safety of horses.


Horses also have their fair share in mythology and fiction. Here are a few for you (without pictures). Click on the Wikipedia links to learn more about them through Wikipedia:

Centaur.

Half-horse, half-human; the Centaurs are one of many different unique creatures in Greek Mythology. They were monsters in a number of games including "The Battle of Olympus," "Final Fantasy Mystic Quest," and other games. Motaro is a Centaur beast who serves as a demon in "Mortal Kombat III." Unicorn.

The beautiful unicorn is a mythical horse that bears one huge horn on its head. They represent good luck. Killing a unicorn brings about bad luck and a curse. In today's culture, makeup maker Lime Crime features a unicorn as its logo. The coat of arms of a number of countries and territories use the unicorn in them. Pegasus.

Pegasus is a beautiful mythical creature. Whereas the unicorn is known for its huge horn on its head, Pegasus is best known for being a majestic horse with wings. The logo for Mobil 1 motor oil features a red Pegasus. TriStar Pictures Inc. features Pegasus as its logo. More information on Pegasus (Wikipedia)

Year of the Rabbit :-)

Since 2011 marks the Chinese Year of the Hare, I figure my Easter weekend contribution involves a bunch of material featuring bunnies and rabbits. Here is a chance for me to have a little fun sharing material featuring these delightful little creatures. I've never owned any pets of any kind, including bunnies. The post you are about to read is a just-for-fun deal regarding rabbits. I hope you enjoy this post!

--- Bunnies and my Past with Them ---

Besides cats, I've always loved bunnies. These herbivores are mostly modest and loveable creatures. They aren't any kind of noisy creatures (mostly silent unless being attacked). The only harm they really do is if you have a garden or something. Since rabbits are herbivores, they often enjoy eating plants. Other than that, these are some adorable creatures. The kinds of rabbits I've become fond of are Holland lop bunnies. These bunnies have cute lop ears that kind of frame their faces. It's just something adorable about these lop-eared bunnies that make them so cute.

Equally adorable are their actions. Seeing a rabbit hop around or something is cute to watch. Seeing bunnies eat is cute too. They do a lot of eating and trying to find food. It's adorable just watching them eat. A popular song about how rabbits eat was popularized by Parry Gripp called "Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom," also called "The Bunny Song." You will get to hear this song in a video later in this blog post.

Even though rabbits are animals of prey, something I get sick of on YouTube is when people talk about bunnies like they should all be eaten on the spot. Almost as if rabbits are so adorable that they wish some animal would come along and kill them. In rabbits' defense, at least rabbits aren't always in the news for killing people or damaing property like pitbulls and rottweilers (and other vicious or potentially vicious animals) usually are. It wasn't until I saw certain videos of rabbits being attacked by snakes to where I learned that rabbits are not always quiet creatures. They shriek almost like little kids when attacked or harmed. I sometimes can't find a decent rabbit video without seeing someone post a comment about seeing a rabbit killed. Another potential problem with rabbits is how they overpopulate. So many offspring can be given off from a mother bunny.

Rabbits are very wonderful creatures! That is, unless you have to deal with rabbits always eating your plants.

Love to be Loved.

This was the most heartwarming and cute video I've ever seen featuring a rabbit. The rabbit's name is Whiskers, and he is a handsome bunny. It is a very long video (8:15), but this will warm your heart in showcasing how affectionate he is. If you have time, check out this bunny video. Watch around the 2:14 mark. SILENT Bunnies?

Do rabbits make any noise? If you think bunnies are silent creatures, here are some videos to help you think otherwise. Both are from the same YouTube channel and feature the same rabbit. Her name is Midow, and in the first video, Midow is sleeping. She is snoring in the second video:

Newborns.

Let's begin by showing you some cute bunnies when they are newborn. Both of these videos showcase newborn bunnies. Have a look at these newly-born cuties in these videos:

This is one of the cutest bunnies on YouTube. Meet Midow. She will provide insight on how fast bunnies can run:


Here's another video of Midow. Bunnies don't make noises unless threatened or sick, but the video maker makes this video fun by pretending Midow is singing. This bunny should be on American Idol or X-Factor! :)

Bunnies Eating.

This adorable bunny is named Dudu. She adorably eats celery in this video. Isn't she cute?


By the way, I read that if you feed rabbits celery without chopping it up into pieces, the rabbit could get sick from the strings from celery and could possibly die. This was still a cute video, but this is something to be careful of if feeding your rabbit celery.
