New Year Thoughts

John B. Marine | 1/01/2013 07:50:00 PM | | | | |
Happy new year! I must say that I am very pleased at the attitude people have shown in regards to the new year. The majority of people I've come across look at the new year and look ahead to the new year with renewed optimism. That is a healthy attitude to have with a new year. I am happy that people don't look at a new year like a continuation of the previous year's woes. If you look at the new year as the persistence of woes from last year, and if you don't work towards making the new year to be more promising than the previous year, then the new year will feel flat and meaningless.

Even I admit looking to 2013 to try to continue and build upon the fortunes of 2012. I could let last year's problems and faults dictate the pace of the new year, or I can work to try to make the new year better in various aspects. What makes a new year better? Here are some key elements:

• a positive outlook
• dreams and goals you can realistically reach
• working towards making each day and moment better
• good fortune/luck

If the previous year ended poorly, just remember the old year is done. You can't change much anything from the previous year. All you can do is move on and try to make the new year to be something amazing.

So these are some things to think about as this new year is here. I hope all of you have a happy, safe, positive, prosperous, and healthy new year. Like in one of my past blog posts- be amazing every day. Every day is an opportunity to be amazing in some sort of way. While I am not overly concerned about view counts for my posts on Life Issues, I do hope people at least pick up on concepts I express in these posts. I make these posts for a reason- for you to be inspired and motivated. The least I can do is offer you my own advice and motivation to help (1) you to feel better about yourself, and more importantly- (2) offer something positive and useful apart from the negativity commonly offered online. Go enjoy this new year and make each day count!

I want more people to engage with my work. Be sure you're subscribed and/or followed to keep up with my latest posts. A few ways to do so is in the table below. Thank you for reading!
