--- Beyoncé ---
(Born: September 4, 1981)-year old Beyoncé is shown below:^ from: rollingout.com - Houston's own Beyoncé Knowles. Or Sasha Fierce. Or... just say hello to Beyoncé, alright?
Beyoncé Giselle Knowles is best known as one of the four ladies that comprised the divalicious group known as Destiny's Child. Over her time before, during, and after Destiny's Child, Beyoncé has established herself as a superstar with her singing and fashion style. She has even taken her talents to acting. I'm not crazy about Beyoncé in any sort of way. However, I do think she is immensely charming and beautiful. There is no denying she is goddess material and diva material.
Acting.
As an actress, Beyoncé has performed in a number of movies. The one I really know of immediately was her role in "Austin Powers: Goldmember." Her first foray into acting back with "Carmen: A Hip Hopera" back in 2001. Here is a trailer of this movie featuring Beyoncé:^ "Carmen: A Hip Hopera (2001) Trailer"
Much more about Beyoncé in acting can be read on IMDb. Check it: Beyoncé on IMDb.
Music.
I know Beyoncé better for music. On the music side, there have been hits for me, along with some misses. Not that several people ever tell me how I'm doing, but I almost fear I am only featuring certain personalities and not being really real with what I comment on. I can tell you that this is someone I really don't hate or like. These are songs either done by Beyoncé or within her days as part of Destiny's Child.--- My Hits ---
So I mentioned hits and misses. What do I qualify as "hits?" Some of my favorites of hers include the following:
• "Bug a Boo" - a good beat and good flow makes this one a real treat to listen to.
• "Single Ladies" - very catchy and popular.
• "Crazy in Love" - can't help but get into this one!
• "Survivor" - greatly motivating.
• "Bootylicious" - Snoop Dogg made "bootylicious" a term long before Beyoncé made it popular. Cool song nonetheless.
• "Independent Women" - from the 21st Century "Charlie's Angels." Fun song!
• "Halo" - powerful singing.
• "Baby Boy" (with Sean Paul) - very cool song with a little bit of Bollywood influence to its music.
• "Emotions" - Beyoncé and Destiny Child's rendition of this classic was great. Beyoncé's singing was exceptional.
--- My Misses ---
These are some of the "misses" of mine from Beyonce.
• "Irreplaceable" - I actually got sick of this song very easily, and I don't really like it all that much to begin with. I get sickened easily whenever I hear "to the left..." because this song comes to mind.
• "If I Were a Boy" - absolutely lost respect for her with this song.
I REALLY lost respect for Beyoncé when she did "If I Were a Boy." That song really got me to disrespect Beyoncé for even coming up with that, speaking as a male. I'm sure the female audience probably appreciated it; but as a guy, I expected better of Beyoncé.
Those are really the only two songs I've disliked from Beyoncé. I only responded to songs that I recall hearing and can immediately hark back on. I may revise this blog post by showing some of her music depending on interest and traffic to this post. I did not really intend on posting a whole lot of material for this blog post as I mostly intended to just talk about her music rather than reference her acting and her music.
--- What I Would Tell Beyoncé (if she were to read this) ---
If any Houston-area person has made any real headway the past 10-15 years, it is you. Thank you for putting Houston on the map and keeping it there. You've exemplified yourself very well in various forms of media.Would I Want to Meet Beyoncé (if given a chance?)
I am not really sure. It would be an honor to meet her. But as far as being reluctant or longing to meet her, I am uncertain. I'm not any fanatic of hers to where I'd even compete in some contest to be invited to a meet-and-greet with Beyoncé.When making blog posts, I am always sure to discuss things positively and professionally. Just because I agree or disagree with something doesn't mean I stoop to any sort of lows to undermine the integrity of my work. I'm here to post blog entries and present everything in a professional manner.

I also adore some of her hits! She is a really influential artist!

as for her style I like that she is not afraid to take chances. There are some hits, but also a lot of misses if you ask me- well, perhaps we cannot judge stage attire- in one sense it has to be " too loud" because stage is stage not everyday life...but her style in the everyday life also tends to be too loud.
as for her music, I don't like her new songs. She had some great hits, but overall I cannot say that I am a fan of her music. I think her voice is magnificent and that she could do a lot more. It is o.k to do pop, but I know that pop can be of better quality than what she is doing now.
Watching her interviews I got the impressions she is one of the sweetest women ever. However, I don't like to idolize celebrities and I don't really read about their personal life, so there is that.
Her acting is pretty good from what I have seen.
That's about it, I really like your post (and blog) I just have to get used to the format.
xoxo
