Central European Beauties

John B. Marine | 9/01/2013 11:51:00 PM | | | | | | |
(UPDATED: March 17, 2015)

Central European beauties are up next in my "European Beauties" series. I challenged myself to find lovely people from Germany, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland. Who made this cut? You're about to find out! So get ready to enjoy (or hopefully enjoy) another post in my European Beauties series.

To readers from the countries I mentioned, I send you a special hello! I hope I can do your nation(s) proud by showcasing your people.

Remember that fewer videos and pictures are posted in these posts simply for performance reasons. As much as I want to show-and-tell various personalities, I want to do so without this blog's performance taking a hit. Click on any links to learn more about each featured personality in this post.

LATEST UPDATE(S)/REVISION(S):

MAR 17 2015 - added more beauties (Hint: Poland)

--- European Beauties: The Series ---

When a new post on each region is complete, expect to see updates linking you to posts in this series. Here is a look at this series of posts. The items in parentheses () indicate all the nations in each given region for which I hope to showcase proper in each post:

Western European Beauties
^ beauties from Western Europe (excluding UK and Ireland- I've already made a post on these beauties). Featured persons from this region are from Spain, Portugal, France, Monaco, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

Central European Beauties --- YOU ARE HERE ---
^ beauties from Germany, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland.

Southern European Beauties
^ beauties from Italy, Vatican City, San Marino, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Malta, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Cyprus, Bulgaria

Eastern European Beauties
^ beauties from Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russian Federation (west of Ural Mountains)

Northern European Beauties
^ beauties from Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Faroe Islands, Aland Islands, Iceland, and Greenland

Transcontinental European Beauties
^ beauties from the Republic of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan

You will see a number of different personalities representing this specified region. In parentheses () is the nation represented in this post. Someone must either be from that nation or is of some sort of decent from that nation. So for example, an American-born person of Swiss decent or part-Swiss decent would qualify as a Swiss person in this post.

This Region - Central Europe.

Central European beauties consist of beauties from the following locations:

• Germany
• Austria
• Denmark
• Switzerland
• Liechtenstein
• Czech Republic
• Slovakia
• Hungary
• Poland

This continues my European Beauties series by focusing mostly on Central Europe. Without giving anything away, I can tell you that there will be a lot of bloggers featured in this post, especially later in this post. No image hotlinking to any bloggers will be featured. This is to avoid certain copyright issues. So if you see a blog I make mention to, click on the heading to that entry to visit that person's blog in the case of blogging beauties.

--- Before I Begin... Lighthearted Musings ---

Let me kind of warm up the mood before sharing some beauties. Maybe you can respond to some of these...

• "Gutentag" to all of my German readers!

• Switzerland is a beautiful country. Switzerland has some women as beautiful as Switerland.

• I've always been used to Czechoslovakia. Today, we have the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I sometimes confuse Slovakia with Slovenia. Slovakia is part of Central Europe while Slovenia is part of Southern Europe (the next post in my "European Beauties" series).

• I have been very pleased to come across so many Polish folks, especially in my LOOKBOOK page. Poland has always sort of been a popular visitor of a lot of my online content- including here on John's Blog Space. So I feel especially obligated to make a quality post featuring Poland and Polish people here.

That's all from me. Time to begin the blog post.

--- Central European Beauties ---

THIS REGION: Germany, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland.

Most of the sources where I got some of my information comes from various Wikipedia entries and certain other websites. Most other material is just personal opinion. Remember that each featured personality is represented in parentheses by their nation. I will try to find replacement images if I am unable to use them to represent some of the people here. Some of those images are the best I could find to represent each featured personality at the time I picked out the image(s). So here are some of many different lovely central European beauties...

Heidi Klum (Germany).

Born in Bergisch, Germany; (born: June 1, 1973)-year old Heidi Klum has been around many blocks. Instead, this beautiful young German blogger has a lot of casual and chic looks with an angelic face and beautiful hair. Visit the young fashionista's blog to take a look at her unique fashion style.

Kim Petras (Germany - Honorable Mention!).

From a boy named Tim to a girl named Kim, (born: August 27, 1992)-year old Kim Petras is a transsexual pop star who first gained attention back in the late 2000s. She was born in Cologne (or Köln), Germany. At just 16 years of age, she became the world's youngest transsexual. Whether you like her or not, and whether you like her music or not, she is at least brave enough and talented enough to get herself out there and try to become a superstar in the music world.

I blogged about Kim Petras before in a very old blog post. If you are interested, I invite you to have a read: "Kim Petras" (John's Blog Space).

Senta Berger (Austria).

Considered the queen of Austrian acting, (born: May 13, 1941)-year old Senta Berger was born in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. Some of her many different acting roles have been in various TV shows and movies. She has won a number of awards. According to IMDb, Senta Berger has won over 17 awards. Read more about her extensive career from this IMDb entry on Senta Berger. A slideshow of this beauty can be seen here: SENTA BERGER..

Hedy Lamarr (Austria).

How about a vintage babe? Meet actress Hedy Lamarr. Even though she is regarded for her on-screen roles, she is also revered for being an inventor. She helped contribute to the invention of WiFi. If you have a Wi-Fi device, someone you may want to thank is Hedy Lamarr. Here is a brief video highlighting on this lovely actress:

^ "Hedy Lamarr: The Other Side of the Screen Siren"

Scarlett Johansson (Denmark).

Scarlett Johansson
^ from: bossip.com - Danish-American actress Scarlett Johansson.

Scarlett Johansson is one of the most popular actresses in today's Hollywood. This (born: November 22, 1984)-year old actress has a Jewish mother and a Danish father. So Scarlett Johansson is Danish-American. Honestly, I didn't know Scarlett is only a few years younger than me. I actually don't follow pop culture Hollywood as religiously as most people. So I don't know these things as easily as any other person would. Scarlett Johansson was born in New York City, New York, USA.

Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark).

Caroline Wozniacki
^ from: hottennisplayers.org - Caroline Wozniacki is one of the better young players in today's landscape of women's tennis.

Born in Odense, Denmark; Caroline Wozniacki is a (born: July 11, 1990)-year old professional tennis player. This Danish diva was once the top-ranked player in the world back in October 2010.

Link directs you to her Facebook fan page.

Although she was born in Košice, Slovakia; (born: September 30, 1980)-year old Martina Hingis is a Swiss tennis player. She currently holds 5 Grand Slam titles in her career. Controversy regarding Martina Hingis circulated when she tested positive for cocaine at Wimbledon 2007.

Ada Polla (Switzerland).

Michelle Hunziker (Switzerland).

The next beauty was born in Sorengo, Switzerland. Michelle Hunziker is Swiss-Italian and was born on January 24, 1977. She is best known for her acting, hosting, singer, and model. As I understand, Sorengo is part of Italian-speaking Switzerland. So a good bit of her material is mostly Italian. Michelle Hunziker gets some Los Angeles hospitality in this video: Michelle Hunziker in Los Angeles | Nov. 2009.

Simona de Silvestro (Switzerland).

The "Swiss Missile" is a very talented race car driver named Simona de Silvestro. She competes in the IndyCar Series. I personally think Simona will be a race winner some day in IndyCar. The last IndyCar femme fatale- Danica Patrick was able to win a race. Simona di Silvestro was born in Thun, Switzerland.

Natacha Gachnang (Switzerland).

This is Natacha Gachnang, a Swiss race car driver. She is a native of Vevey, Switzerland. The (born: October 27, 1987)-year old is a cousin of ex-F1 racer Sebastien Buemi (who is also Swiss). Natacha is a Formula 2 race car driver as well as a sportscar racer. Get to know Natacha Gachnang with this video: Natacha Gachnang speaks to F2TV about her F1 dream.

Cyndie Allemann (Switzerland).

Cyndie Allemann

April 4, 1986 was when Switzerland's Cyndie Allemann was born. Cyndie is a race car driver who was born in Moutier, Switzerland. She has over 20 years of racing experience. That experience includes kart racing and lots of GT/Sportscar/Endurance racing. The endurance racing even includes the likes of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the equally grueling 24 Hours at the Nürburgring.

Rahel Frey (Switzerland).

Meet (born: February 23, 1986)-year old Rahel Frey. This Swiss race car driver was born in Niederbipp, Switzerland. Like Natacha Gachnang and Cyndie Allemann, Rahel Frey has herself a good deal of sportscar racing experience. She's raced the likes of DTM all the way up to major races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Here is a video on Rahel Frey, which I assume is in her native Swiss speak: Rahel Frey - Audi Sport DTM driver 2011.

NOTE: Natacha Gachnang, Cyndie Allemann, and Rahel Frey were all included together representing Switzerland. All three raced for a team called Matech Engineering. Their [beautiful] Ford GT competed at the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans as part of an all-female, all-Swiss team. Their entry unfortunately didn't manage to finish in that year's race after the car caught fire.

Tina Weirather (Liechtenstein).

I have to like someone to feature them in a Beauties post. It is also special to try to incorporate as many nations as possible. So meet the only Liechtenstein representative to my Central European beauties- skier Christina "Tina" Weirather. Tina Weirather is (born: May 24, 1989) years old. She was born in Vaduz, Liechtenstein (the capital of Liechtenstein). She made her debut in 2005 and even competed in the 2006 Torino Olympic Winter Games. You can watch Tina work her magic here with this video:

^ "Tina Weirather wins first World Cup race - Universal Sports"

IN CASE YOU'RE WONDERING... Liechtenstein is a very small country sandwiched between Switzerland and Austria. It is located around the westernmost tip of Austria.

It's time to break off the post (for performance reasons). Beauties of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland have yet to be featured. So make sure you're reading the full blog post to see more of what I have to offer to you all!

Petra Nemcová (Czech Republic).

The link directs to her Facebook fan page.

Petra Nemcova is a lovely supermodel from the Czech Republic. She was born in Karviná, Czech Republic on June 24, 1979. Besides modeling, she has been in a number of different TV and movie appearances including her time in Dancing With the Stars. A tsunami in 2004 in South Asia ended up killing her fiancé. To hear her emotional story on her loss through this tsunami in 2004, watch this video where she was a guest on "The Ellen Show": Petra Nemcova Opens Up on Her Tragedy. That video just opened up old wounds even as the tsunami in Japan and other parts of the Pacific in 2011 happened not too long after this video was recorded.

Eva Herzigová (Czech Republic).

Meet (born: March 10, 1973)-year old Eva Herzigová from Litvínov, Czech Republic. She is a Czech model famous for being a model for one racy advertisement she did for the Wonderbra. Eva has also done some modeling as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Get to know Eva Herzigová here with this video: Eva Herzigova - Videofashion.

Karolína Kurková (Czech Republic).

Link directs to her Facebook fan page.

(Born: February 28, 1984)-year old fashion model Karolina Kurkova is a charming Czech beauty. She has been an actress and even a Victoria's Secret Angel. She was born in Decín, Czech Republic. One of her most recent roles as an actress was in "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra." A much more recent role was in the CBS TV series "Person of Interest." People who poke fun at Karolina make note of how she doesn't have a navel. There's one thing she DOES have, though- recognition by FHM as one of the world's sexiest women. She was ranked 79th in the 2011 Sexiest Women list. Check out this Czech beauty in this video:

^ "Karolina Kurkova, Top Model | FashionTV 15th Anniversary Special"

Adriana Sklenaríková (Slovakia).

Adriana Sklenarikova
^ from: www.hola.com - This lovely long-legged lady hails from Slovakia, and her name is Adriana Sklenarikova.

Link directs to her Facebook fan page.

Adriana Karembeu was born Adriana Sklenaríková on September 17, 1971. The 6'1" model from Brezno, Slovakia once held the Guiness World Record for the longest legs among female models. The Karembeu surname comes from her marrying footballer Christian Karembeu. Even for someone her age, she looks amazingly hot! Trust me as I was researching images of her.

Daniela Hantuchová (Slovakia).

To be honest, I never expected to find so many tennis players to represent in my European Beauties series. This one is Daniela Hantuchova, born in Poprad, Slovakia. The (born: April 23, 1983)-year old became pro in 1999 and had one of her finest moments in her career when she won her first WTA (Women's Tennis Association) tournament in 2002. Here's a treat for you... let Daniela take you around Monte Carlo:

^ "A tour of Monaco with Daniela Hantuchova"

Drew Barrymore (Hungary).

Drew Barrymore is Hungarian-American. The (born: February 22, 1975)-year old actress and director has been in a handful of movies through her extensive career. She was also one of the youngest celebrities to host Saturday Night Live. I famously (infamously) know Drew Barrymore for flashing while as a guest on "The Late Show With David Letterman" long ago. She was born in Culver City, California.

Tamara Knausz (Hungary).

Tamara Knausz is both an actress and a model from Gyor, Hungary. Some of her acting roles include the likes of "Able Danger" and "Shutterbug." I unfortunately can't pull up too much more on her for you to know more about her.

Zsa Zsa Gabor (Hungary).

(Born: February 6, 1917)-year old Zsa Zsa Gabor has been an actress for a long while. She even won Miss Hungary in 1936 among the many highlights of her career. Zsa Zsa Gabor was born in Budapest, Hungary.

As of the date of this initial blog post (September 1, 2013), Zsa Zsa Gabor is 96 years old. She's about the oldest-living beauty I've featured in any of my "Beauties" posts.

Dora, of "Dora Fashion" (Hungary).

Dora is a beautiful fashion model from Hungary. I first began to Follow her on LOOKBOOK. I became amazed by her beauty that I eventually became a Fan of hers on LOOKBOOK. She posted some of her outfits and posts in her blog called "Dora Fashion."

BEFORE CONTINUING... I told you that my Polish selections will mostly feature bloggers. I have been very pleased to meet so many people from Poland online, especially those that follow fashion. I have to say that part of my influence has been from meeting people on LOOKBOOK. Various people I have Fanned on LOOKBOOK are from Poland. So I want to salute my Polish readers among the many around the world whom have viewed my content and enjoy my content.

With that said, here are some Polish beauties I have to share.

Agnieszka Radwanska (Poland).

(Born: March 6, 1989)-year old Agnieszka Radwanska is a professional tennis player. She was born in Kraków, Poland. Among her many tennis accomplishments, she is (source: Wikipedia) the first Polish player in the Open Era to advance to the singles final of a Grand Slam, first to win a singles title in the Women's Tennis Association, and even won the She put on a magical move to win in WTA play. You can see that play in this video: Agnieszka Radwanska 2013 Sony Open Tennis Hot Shot.

Juliett, of "MAFFASHION" (Poland).

(ADDED: March 17, 2015)
Poland has many different fashion bloggers and fashionistas. One of the most popular is Juliett Kuczynska. She is not hard to find on the LOOKBOOK circuit. Many of her outfits range from casual to chic, and a lot of them are titled mostly after electronic dance music songs and EDM remixes- which I'm cool with as a fan of electronic dance music. Anyhow, Juliett is one of the most diverse fashionistas you'll ever come across.

Ania, of "Fashion With Ania and Klaudia" (Poland).

Blogging friend and supporter Ania is a Polish lady whom I have great respect for with her blog posts. Her style ranges from cool casual looks to beautiful looks in classy outfits. A lot of her looks may consist of cute skirts and dresses with a chic pair of sandals. On the casual side, she'll completely dress down with a pair of skinny jeans and some Converses. So Ania covers the bases quite well between casual and chic. Klaudia, whom is rarely featured in the blog, is Ania's sister. As a loyal fan of my online work, I proudly salute Ania and her fine work with her blog.

Gabriela, of "Kolorowa dusza" (Poland).

The young blogger named Gabriela is a Polish princess. Many words could be used to describe her beauty, but I think "angelic" fits her best. Her curly hair is beautiful along with a lovely face and a sweet smile. Her eyes are as sparkly as diamonds. As for her fashion style, she will surely captivate with her sweet outfits. These outfits range from casual pieces to more dressy and girly pieces. You won't be disappointed when you get to see her many different outfits. According to a Google Translate I did, "Kolorowa Dusza" in Polish is "colorful soul" in English.

Agnieszka, of "Aga's Suitcase" (Poland).

Agnieszka (or just Aga) is a totally cute Polish lady. Her style can be cute and casual, and she can even be beautiful and fabulous. Aga has such a cute smile and lovely hair. Just her smile and hairstyle alone are cute with most of her outfits. Aga is one of many different Polish personalities whom I've been thankful to encounter online. I salute this Polish beauty with including her in this Beauties post on Central European beauties.

Wioletta, of "MARY KATE FASHION" (Poland).

If you regularly visit LOOKBOOK, Wioletta (better known as Mary-Kate) may be familiar to you. I became fond of her style as I began to see more of her unique fashion style. And while I don't usually comment on her work or visit her blog, I greatly respect Wioletta and her work.

Anna, of "Hummingbird Girl" (Poland).

"Hummingbird Girl" is a blog by Anna. She is a fashion blogger who expresses her style with many unique and charming accents and touches. This pretty curly-haired Polish beauty is someone who will mix together bold prints and certain expressive elements and touches to deliver magical (and sometimes avant-garde) looks. She will wear expressive and unique shoes as part of her outfits. Her outfit posts are mostly expressive and youthful. In other words, she will captivate you with her style and her charm. I very much appreciate and admire Anna for her amazing work as a blogger. I salute Anna by including her among my Central European beauties.

Ola, of "by ola" (Poland).

With a sweet face, an angelic smile, and a lovely hairstyle; Ola is a Polish fashion blogger with a lovely sense of style. She has a handful of nice outfits ranging from cute to angelic. Be sure to drop by Ola and take a look at her outfits.

Monica, of "Jersey Girl, Texan Heart" (Poland).

Monica was born in New Jersey, but she very much has Polish blood and Polish heritage in her. So this Polish-American is reluctant to share with you her fashion style. I came across her on LOOKBOOK and decided to feature her here among the many beauties I've posted of Central European beauties. This blog was formerly known as "Moda by Monika."

Milex, of "Milex and his world... I mean style.". (Poland)

This Polish fellow known as Milex expresses his style in his blog. The charming fellow expresses his androgynous beauty in his posts. He has a number of interesting outfits to catch your eye. I respect him and his work. Otherwise, why would I feature him among various other lovely people?

Dominika, of "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous." (Poland - Honorable Mention!).

Dominika of "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous" is one of the first Polish pretties I've encountered in my blogging. She has been away from blogging for some time now. So therefore, I pay respect to Dominika by featuring her here as Honorable Mention. I certainly honor her if she's reading this blog post.

Emilka, of "Dreaming with fae creatues." (Poland)

(ADDED: March 16, 2014)
Meet Emilka (or Emily). She runs the blog "Dreaming with fae creatures." She is a long-haired beauty with a sweet voice and a beautiful face. Most of her outfit posts mostly consist of outfits inspired by Japanese lolita outfits. Honestly, she looks like she comes from a fairytale or from some magical realm. Emilka's beauty is magical. Visit her blog to check out her incredible style.

Adriana, of Help! I Have Nothing to Wear! (Poland).

(ADDED: March 17, 2015)
"I'd love to mark my sex-appeal, so much of this looks shows skirts, shorts and vests of all kinds and another clothes and often heel (that I love!), which emphasizes the beauty of woman's body." To this extent, Poland's Aridana Majewska does NOT disappoint. This long-haired beauty usually showcases her beauty in a handful of skirt and dress outfits. Some other times, however, she expresses her lovely body and style in jeans, pants, and shorts. Adriana can easily sell her loveliness in any number of her outfits and in any number of her outfit posts.

Justyna, of "justyna polska" (Poland).

(ADDED: March 17, 2015)
Justyna Polska has a very nice short hairstyle and a pretty face, but her outfits are very charming. This Polish fashion blogger also is a makeup artist. She has a lot to offer, so check out her blog and get to savor her sense of style.

Remember that I may add more beauties if I find some more. If there are certain personalities that I am not sure whether they properly represent each region, I don't include them among a certain region of beauties. So this means there are many more I want to feature but can't confirm fit in a certain category of beauties. But as always, check for updates.

That concludes another part of the European beauties series. Southern European beauties is the next post in the "European Beauties" series. Thank you for reading!
