Jordan Taylor (DJ/Producer)

Jordan Taylor is not your average trance producer or DJ. This individual is adept in the art of what I call "SaxoTrance." Imagine uplifting trance paired with a saxophone solo... and awesomely putting both together. That's what this gentleman provides. So what I decided to do is blog about this fellow and introduce you to his style.

BEFORE I BEGIN...

1.) For my motorsports fans, this blog post is Jordan Taylor the trance producer and DJ, not the race car driver Jordan Taylor or any other Jordan Taylor.

2.) Jordan Taylor does not call his work by anything. I just call playing saxophone with trance as "SaxoTrance." You know- SAXOphone TRANCE.

Jordan Taylor has always had a passion for music and jazz. His talent level is a mile high of most others- hailing from the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado, USA. He has a number of musical degrees in college as part of his vast experience with music. Somehow, Jordan has dare tested the waters of blending saxophone play with some of the hottest of-the-moment uplifting trance songs. The rest... is history.

Jordan Taylor usually mixes uplifting trance on his Twitch channel. His Twitch community hit 2K followers in February 2024. At times, Jordan Taylor involves his community with a segment called "Smash or Pass," in which Twitch community votes whether a song should stay in his lineup of songs (smash) or do away with (pass).

Jordan has performed at a number of venues with a number of different shows in his career with a career dating back as far as 2010. His involvement with trance personalities is also diverse, including the likes of Andy Moor and JES. While he plays saxophone a lot, he sometimes plays some flute and an ocarina. Apparently, Jordan Taylor also happens to be an avid golfer and follows most Denver sports.

My Testimonal.

I discovered Jordan Taylor some time in 2022 (December, I think). As a lover of smooth jazz, I felt a connection to his style of saxophone play along with enjoying various styles of trance. The Twitch community for his channel is also great. Therefore, it was a number of different factors that led me to join in on the power of SaxoTrance.

Since each stream on Twitch follows the mindset of "Good Vibes Only," each stream is an enjoyable experience. So that's why I try to join in on each set and stream I can join in on.

The Saxophone + Trance Effect.

The saxophone can exude a number of styles. Namely, a saxophone can provide smooth instrumental style. A saxophone can even be romantic. Why, then, would anyone want to pair a jazzy instrument like the saxophone and play some uplifting trance with it? Having jazz with trance offers up a strange dichotomy. If ever you hear Jordan Taylor's streams or his mashups of songs, you will hear bits of saxophone complimenting parts of a song. Believe me- he makes saxophone work. With some songs, his saxophone play beautifully compliments some songs. It is for these reasons that Jordan Taylor stands out among a vast crowd of trance producers and trance DJs.

Linux MultiMedia Studio (or LMMS)

Linux MultiMedia Studio (LMMS) is a free program designed to make pattern-based music. This program is as powerful as the juggernaut of music production software- FL Studio. One can be able to produce some amazing music with LMMS if one has enough creativity to make great music. And don't let its name make you think otherwise- Linux MultiMedia Studio is available not only for Linux, but also for Windows. It is also open-source, making it possible for almost anyone to make this program more accessible and more feature-rich than many of the commercially-available music production programs. As someone who has made music with trackers before, pattern-based music is sort of a different experience for me. I have FL Studio Express as far as FL Studio is concerned. However, I haven't used FL Studio much at all for when I had the desire to make music.

This blog post is a look at my Linux MultiMedia Studio experience and what I think about the program after a few days with it. I will even share some examples from YouTube to help you see (and hear) what is possible with LMMS.

--- Linux MultiMedia Studio ---

Meet Linux MultiMedia Studio:

For Linux users, they have long learned of what this program is capable of for those who make music. It doesn't take too much to produce a simple song. You can create any sort of song with the many instruments and samples at your disposal. You start to get the hang of making music with this program once you learn the interface and can put together some solid beats and melodies. As of this initial blog post, I haven't mastered things like Automation in making songs.

Linux MultiMedia Studio is a pattern-based music making program similar in nature to the commercial giant known as FL Studio. You put together songs by adding in certain notes. Some of the instruments you use are part of a piano roll while others comprise basic patterns that play at any given time. The process is of trial and error, but you will eventually start to make fabulous tunes once you put everything together properly. Making those songs require you to make good use of the available instruments and samples given to you when you download and use LMMS. I have samples from another program called Magix Studio 6, and I took those samples and put them in the folder for LMMS samples to have more sample options for my music. You can do the same for any other sample packs you may have from other programs. I guess this is perfectly fine since you downloaded or paid for the program- including the ability to use the various samples.

The nice thing about LMMS is that there are actual settings for when you export your music either as a song or as a loop. If the exported song you created is supposed to loop, you can select an option to save it as a loop, which eliminates the silence associated at the end of the song. You don't need to make full-length songs. You can choose to export your music either in WAV or OGG format. The songs save in 44100 Hz. So if you don't have a lot of space to store your exported music, you may want to stay away from this program or not make as long songs.

For the time I have used LMMS (roughly a full week as of this initial blog post), there is only one real problem I have with the program. My only problem with LMMS is that it doesn't have any sort of time system to let you know how long your song is time-wise. What I did was use the stopwatch feature of an old watch I had and use that as my timer. In my research of this topic, however, I hear work has been done on adding a timer to composed works so users can keep track of how long their songs are.

--- Linux MultiMedia Studio vs. MadTracker 2 ---

Most of you may know that I've made music before using a program called MadTracker 2. The pattern-based nature of programs like FL Studio and Linux MultiMedia Studio actually give me a bit more control and leverage in making songs. There were some times when previewing songs in a tracker that I would have one note continously play, thus ruining a song I created. Another thing is that I mostly used VSTi instruments in my tracker music.

Using LMMS, I mostly have used the ZynAddSubFX synthesizer for instrumental music. I somewhat like using this more than I have using VeSTige for LMMS. VeSTige allows you to use VSTi instruments that you may have for your music in LMMS. You definitely have some options when you use LMMS. I just think the options come together better when you use LMMS compared to a tracker. The one thing I miss about using a tracker program is the ability to make proper looping songs. I've never successfully made a looping tracker or module song. However, I have made a few songs meant to be looped when I was mostly using tracker programs.

Maybe the most convincing thing I can tell you is that I seem to be better able to create songs I've had in my head with a pattern-based program than I do with tracker programs. The amount of leverage and control is greater with LMMS than I have made using MadTracker 2 (as far as personal experience is concerned). In fact, I am almost sort of convinced to look back at my tracker music and try to re-create some of those songs in LMMS.

If I was going to create some sort of brand-new song and had to choose between a pattern-based program and a tracker-based program, I seem more confident making it with a pattern-based program than with a tracker. LMMS just given me that new sort of confidence to make music almost the way I want to make it- and improvise a bit better.

This Region - Northern Europe.

Northern Europe is represented in this part of the European Beauties series. Even though Denmark is considered part of Northern Europe, I've already featured Danish beauties in my "Central European Beauties" blog post. The following locations are featured:

For this section, I will be discussing Northern Europe, which starts with the Baltic States. I will then be ABSOLUTELY sure to make mention to Scandinavia. I will challenge myself to find some lovelies to represent Iceland, and even more challenged to find someone from Greenland. Why Greenland? Well, even though Greenland is a Danish territory, and even though I listed Denmark among my Central European Beauties, I am going to put Greenland among Northern European beauties for this post. No image hotlinking to any bloggers will be featured. This is to avoid certain copyright issues. So if you see a blog I make mention to, click on the heading to that entry to visit that person's blog in the case of blogging beauties.

--- Before I Begin... Lighthearted Musings ---

Let me kind of warm up the mood before sharing some beauties. Maybe you can respond to some of these...


• of the Baltic States, I tend to get the most hits from Lithuania regularly. I tend to get an equal amount of blog hits often times from Latvia and Estonia. Latvia itself a lovely nation. Its capital city is Riga.

• I love my readers from Scandinavia (as much as I do all over the world). I commonly get blog views from Finland and Sweden. I best know of Finland for all of its racing talent as well as the Rally Finland- one of my personal favorite rally races. One of my past blog posts was about Arctic Circle Raceway, which is located somewhere in Mo I Rana. I even get some Norway hits as well. At one point, my northernmost blog hit came from Tromsø. It has since no longer been my northernmost blog hit. In fact, the northernmost blog hit I've ever observed came from some city or town very close to Barrow, Alaska, USA.

• The Faroe Islands are east of Norway, north-northwest of Scotland, and east-southeast of Iceland. The Aland Islands are a small set of islands midway between southwestern Finland and Sweden.

• I do get hits from Iceland from time to time. Only city I know of in Iceland is its capital- Reykjavik.

• When it comes to Greenland, there were some very rare times I got blog hits from Greenland. Have I ever come across anyone from Denmark? Well, on Myspace, there was a girl whom I got to know on Myspace from Nuuk, which is in southwestern Greenland.

• Did you know that the PHP programming language was created by a Greenlander? A fellow named Rasmus Lerdorf helped create PHP.

It is time to begin this look at northern European folks whom I think are beautiful. Let's do this!

Aksana (Lithuania).

WWE Diva Aksana is from Alytus, Lithuania. Anyone who follows the WWE may have known of her bonding with Theodore Long, and she was the former girlfriend of Swiss wrestler (and former rugby footballer) Antonio Cesaro. She was once just someone who didn't wrestle too much. But one night on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Aksana made her wrestling debut and stunned a powerful opponent. Evelina Sašenko (Lithuania).

Born in Rudiškes, Lithuania, (born: July 26, 1987)-year old Evelina Sašenko is a singer. Her specialty is in jazz. She is both Polish-Lithuanian. Evelina represented Lithuania in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. If you think she looks beautiful, you should hear her sing. Listen to this lovely Lithuanian lady:

Jelena Prokopcuka (Latvia).

Latvian Jelena Prokopcuka is a long-distance runner from Riga, Latvia. The (born: September 21, 1976)-year old has competed in and won a number of competitions in her career. Among many of her marathon wins was the New York Marathon. This video showcases Jelena winning the New York Marathon in 2006: Jelena Prokopcuk NY Marathon winner.

Elina Garanca (Latvia).

On September 16, 1976, a baby girl named Elina Garanca was born in Riga, Latvia. This girl would grow up to become a sopranoist. If you enjoy soprano music, here is a performance for you. I've heard and loved Charlotte Church's version of "Habanera," but here is a more proper soprano performance of "Habanera" from the lovely Latvian: Elina Garanca "Habanera" Carmen.

Inguna Butane (Latvia).

Meet model Ginta Lapina. She was born in Riga, Latvia on June 30, 1989. Her portfolio includes designing and modeling for many world-renowned designers, and she's even been in a handful of advertisements for various big time designers and brands. Among MANY others... she has modeled for the likes of Dolce and Gabbana, Michael Kors, DSquared2, Prada, and Proenza Schouler. Birgit (Estonia).

Birgit Õigemeel (or just Birgit) is an Estonian pop singer. This Estonian was born in Kohila, Estonia. Birgit won the first-ever season of Estonian Idol Eesti otsib superstaari.
Want to see a music video of Birgit? Here is a beautiful performance from this beautiful (born: September 24, 1988)-year old Estonian as part of a duet. And to be honest, I think Birgit's singing was better than the guy she dueted with: Birgit Õigemeel ja Riho Sibul - Ma Sind Ei Tea.

Carmen Kass (Estonia).

Carmen Kass has walked many a runway in her long career. The native of Tallinn, Estonia was born on September 14, 1978 and grew up in Mäo, Estonia. She has been a model appearing in various major fashion shows and part of advertisements for major designers and retailers. Besides modeling, she took on political aspirations to be part of Parliment in her native Estonia. So she is someone who is as much at home representing her nation. She is also a big fan of playing chess. Get to know Carmen Kass a bit better with this video:

Eda-Ines Etti (Estonia).

Born in Haapsalu, Estonia, Eda-Ines Etti is a musician who goes by the stage name of Ines. She is best known for her performance and participation in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest. Her song "Once in a Lifetime" was chosen as the song to represent Estonia in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest. This video below is a music sample of the (born: May 26, 1981)-year old Estonian. Kerli Kõiv (Estonia).

This is Kerli Koiv- a petite (she's 5'1") recording artist from Estonia. She was born in Elva, Estonia and is often simply referred to as Kerli. Some of her more popular songs include "Army of Love" and "Walking on Air." She is comparable in personality and character as Lady Gaga. Both Kerli and Lady Gaga are the same height. Biggest difference is that Kerli is a bit more of a Goth-style person with piercings on her face than the more artistic Lady Gaga. Here is a sample music video of this Estonian. Tuuli, of "fallie's scrapbook" (Estonia).

I know of only one Estonian blogger, and she is Tuuli of "fallie's scrapbook." She shares a lot of her insight and her artwork in her blog. Tuuli was even featured in the pages of Teen Vogue Magazine once. She's rarely updated her blog, but I definitely want to honor Tuuli by featuring her among my Northern European beauties.

This region consists of beauties representing Eastern Europe in some capacity, which I will define as five nations. The following locations are featured:

This continues my European Beauties series by focusing mostly on Eastern Europe. The Russian beauties I select in this blog post are from the European portion of Russia. I may elect to do a post on the Asian side of Russia in the future. For now, let's just keep things simple and focus on the European side of the Russian Federation, for when I make mention to Russia. --- Before I Begin... Lighthearted Musings ---

Let me kind of warm up the mood before sharing some beauties. Maybe you can respond to some of these...


• I have never known anyone from Romania until I started meeting others through blogging. Romania is one of the most common locations where I get blog hits as far as European nations are concerned. So I am hopeful I can please my Romanian readers by talking about some of their loveliest people.

• I couldn't find Belarus on a map until I started my research. Two LOOKBOOK personalities are two of the ones I thought of initially before trying to find other Belarusian personalities.

• Russians are common visitors to my blogs. When starting out, I followed maybe one or two bloggers from Russia. Now, I know at least five bloggers from Russia in addition to the ones I've followed previously. I know I would do a disservice by not mentioning a handful of Russian ladies. After all, when you're from the largest-size nation in the world, it would be sad to not be able to find at least one lovely lady from Russia.

Part 4 of this 6-part "European Series" consists of beauties from Eastern Europe. Five nations, plenty of lovelies to showcase from many walks of life, not to mention a handful of bloggers.

Angelica Ganea (Romania).

Angelica Ganea is a Romanian singer based in Canada. Her voice is beautiful. Let her sing for you. This song is called "You're My Reflection":

Aurelia Dobre (Romania).

In 1987, a 14-year old girl from Romania became a World Championship-winning gymnast. This youngster was named Aurelia Dobre. Aurellia is noted as the youngest gymnastics World Champion ever at 14 years and 352 days. However, there was controversy about her and another young gymnastics World Champion- Olga Bicherova of Russia (then the Soviet Union) who won the 1981 World Championship at the age of 13. What I read in researching this topic was that Olga's age was falsified. Aurelia Dobre was born on November 16, 1972 in Romania's capital city of Bucharest. She even competed in the Seoul 1988 Olympic Summer Games, where she won a Silver Medal in Team Gymnastics. Injuries and a growth spurt have derailed her career as a gymnast. She retired in 1989. Monica Bîrladeanu (Romania).

From Iasi, Romania; give a warm welcome to my next featured Romanian beauty- Monica Barladeanu. Monica is a Romanian actress famous for movies such as "The Death of Mr. Lazarescu." The (born: December 12, 1978)-year old is also a model. She's been declared as one of Romania's sexiest women a couple of times. Monica has even garnered attention from FHM for her sexy looks.

NOTE: When preparing this post, I was unsure whether she was Monica Bîrladeanu or Monica Barladeanu. So I used "Barladeanu" upon Google recommendations.

Monica Dascalu (Romania).

Another Monica hails from Romania- TV star Monica Dascalu. Monica Dascalu is a TV news reporter for Stirile ProTV in Romania. I think she's beautiful. Antonia Iacobescu (Romania).

Antonia Iacobescu- better known simply as "Antonia" is a Romanian singer and a model. She is a (born: April 12, 1989)-year old from Bucharest, Romania. Here is one of Antonia's songs. I must warn you that the video is a little loud, so turn down the volume a bit here. Regardless... this is a very cool song to me:

This next beauty is from Roman, Romania; and her name is Andreea Violeta Marin Banica. Andreea Marin is a beautiful (born: December 22, 1974)-year old television presenter. She is the only Romanian UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

Simona Gherghe (Romania).

All I can pull up on Simona Gherghe is that she is a TV personality whom is the host of Romania's "Acces Direct," an entertainment and lifestyle show. And obviously- she's Romanian. And also obviously- she's beautiful. Otherwise... she wouldn't be among my beauties.

Alexandra Dinu (Romania).

Actress Alexandra Dinu is a Romanian beauty known for her roles in "Second-Hand" and "Garcea si oltenii" among other acting roles. The (born: January 3, 1981)-year old Romanian is based in Italy. Cristina Dochianu (Romania).

Cristina Maria Dochianu is a Romanian television sports reporter from Bucharest. Some would liken Cristina as the Romanian equivalent to Erin Andrews.

Iulia Vântur (Romania).

Alina, of "My Silk Fairytale" (Romania).

The first Romanian fashion blogger I've come across online goes by the name of Alina. I think from one post, her real first name is either Nadina-Alina or something like that. Regardless, "My Silk Fairytale" is her fashion blog. "My Silk Fairytale" features some of the most diverse spreads in fashion. Alina could glam things up with very feminine and stylish pieces. On the other hand, she can go completely casual ranging from denim to slipping on a pair of sneakers. She could wear a classy and chic outfit, or she may go completely casual with cutoff denim shorts or even something with skulls. Her sense of style is the most diverse of any fashion blog I follow. I invite you to delve into "My Silk Fairytale" to see this Romanian's fashion style.

Iulia, of "Heart of Peonies" (Romania).

Iulia Dragan is a fashion blogger from Romania. She first created "A Blog With Us." Her latest blog is called "Heart of Peonies." This Romanian blogger features her own diverse range of fashion styles. I greatly respect her and her continued support of my blogging work. Hello to Iulia if she's reading this!

Madalina, of "MayDay" (Romania).

Also from Romania, Madalina is a fashion blogger who runs the blog "MayDay." I have great respect for Madalina since she respects my online work. "MayDay" consists of a variety of different fashion and beauty topics. She posts everything from outfits to various beauty posts, such as nail art. But really, this blog is more like a personal blog that also features loads of fashion and beauty insights. All I ask for you to do is meet Madalina and get to savor her fashion style. By the way, hello to Madalina if she's reading this blog post! :)

Meda, of "Thousand Wishes" (Romania).

From the LOOKBOOK circuit, Meda is a fabulously beautiful lady from Romania. Her blog, "Thousand Wishes" features some of her many different outfits as well as insights on health and food. Meda showcases her fashion style in her many blog posts. You are free to visit her blog to check out her style.

Maria Cebotari (Moldova - Deceased).

Moldovan Maria Cebotari is soprano singer and actress. The Bessarabian was born in Chisinau, Moldova on February 10, 1910. Maria gained German citizenship in her time. Ina Vieru (Moldova).

(Born: April 3, 1968)-year old Ina Vieru was the first-ever Miss Moldova back in 1990. The native of Chisinau, Moldova is also a successful businesswoman, running two famous bakeries in Chisinau.

Patricia Kopatchinskaja (Moldova).

Nicoleta, of "REINVENT YOURSELF" (Moldova).

Though based in Italy, Nicoleta Buru is from Chisinau, Moldova. She is a lovely lady with some unique style. Her style has a great deal of edge and chic. I salute Southern Europe with this "European Beauties" series. This region features continental Southern Europe and certain Mediterranean islands. I often times get blog hits from Southern Europe. So allow me to showcase some of Southern Europe's finest and loveliest people. That's what I've done for this series and countless other locations, so what makes this much different? Let me kind of warm up the mood before sharing some beauties. Maybe you can respond to some of these...

• "Ciao" to all of my lovely Italian readers! Italy is commonly a visitor to my blog(s) and its/their post(s).

• Just because I feature a certain country or territory doesn't exactly mean I will cover each location. So therefore, I don't think I'll be able to find anyone who may have been born in Vatican City. I put in certain places as a reference.

• I best know the Republic of San Marino for the Imola race track as well as the San Marino Grand Prix. Sadly, I also know it as the track where the late great Ayrton Senna was killed in 1994 along with Roland Ratzenberger that same race weekend. I don't know if I can get anything on San Marino personalities. I learned of that famous structure in San Marino. It is the Fortress of Guaita.

• Slovenia is a nation south of Austria and north of Croatia. You may recall that I sometimes confuse Slovenia and Slovakia. It was in my "Central European Beauties" post that I featured Slovakian personalities. Here, you will see some Slovenian beauties as part of my Southern European Beauties post.

• I often get a lot of hits from Croatia. So I'm pleased to mention Croatia in this section. All I know about Croatia is its beautiful capital of Zagreb. I am a bit familiar with Split as well. One of the folks from my friends at GTPlanet is from Croatia, and he is a great insider on the Gran Turismo series.

• I also sometimes get hits from Albania. I forgot all about Albania when initially preparing this blog post. No worries now since I included Albania among the represented nations in this blog post. By the way... did you know Regis Philbin is half-Albanian? I also once learned of the symbol on Albania's flag. The black figure on Albania's flag is a two-headed eagle. The story of this eagle is chronicled in an Albanian folk tale called "The Tale of the Eagle." I learned also that the two heads represent the north and south of Albania.

• Greece is a country I've recently been fond of. Perhaps a lot of the landscape and coastal cities have caught my interest. Whether you are from mainland Greece or from any of Greece's beautiful islands (like Mykonos and Santorini), you're still getting some love if I feature you here. Speaking of Mykonos and Santorini, which Greek island would YOU visit? Old blog post of mine: "Take Your Pick: Mykonos or Santorini?" (John's Blog Space).

• At times, I get hits from Malta. If you have never seen pictures of Malta or read my blog post on Malta, you should see Malta. It is an absolutely beautiful island nation. This was an old post I did about Malta in case you're interested: "Malta" (John's Blog Space).

• I included Cyprus among the Southern European beauties as a last-minute addition. I wasn't sure whether or not Cyprus was a European nation or not until I did a little more research. Cyprus- which is south of the western half of Turkey is part of the European Union. So I attempted to add some beauties from Cyprus. Did I succeed? Find out later in this blog post!

• I know very little about Bulgaria. For some reason before preparing this post, I thought the Hagia Sophia was in Bulgaria. That beautiful structure is in Istanbul (a Sister City of Houston)! Maybe I had that mixed up because I only know one city in Bulgaria- Sofia. It does have a wonderful structure called the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Another famous structure in Sofia is the Church of St. George.

• Content-wise, this is one of the biggest posts I've ever done in my "Beauties" series. I never had to do so much researching and so much random browsing just to compile this list since when I did my Beauties posts on African beauties. This is one of my biggest efforts in this category of blog posts of mine since I went to a region-based format.

Born in Naples, Italy; you may have heard of Giuliana Rancic on the E! Network. She's one of the hosts of "Fashion Police" as well as being a star on her "Giuliana and Bill" reality TV series. Guiliana is ridiculously chic and stylish. The (born: August 17, 1975)-year old has a beaming personality and equally beaming style. Giada de Laurentiis (Italy).

(Born: August 20, 1970)-year old Giada de Laurentiis is an absolutely beautiful lady to me. She has both a sweet voice and very beautiful looks. Do as the Romans do, because... she's Roman! Yep- she was born in Rome, Italy. Giada is best known as a food superstar. I know her on Food Network for "Giada at Home." While she makes delicious meals, she is a delicious beauty herself. She not only has beautiful looks, she also has a beautiful voice. Her voice alone is sometimes as sweet as the food she prepares. Here is an interview of this Italian beauty:

Giusy Buscemi (Italy).

The 2012 winner of Miss Italy is Giusy Buscemi. She is a curly-haired Italian girl who is from city of Menfi on the Italian island of Sicily. Born on April 13, 1993; this breathtaking beauty can be seen in this video: Photoshoot: Giusy Buscemi Miss Italia 2012

Gabriella, of "Principessa Gabriella" (Italy).

Gabriella is a beautiful Italian-American whom I have made mention to before. Her blog is called "Principessa Gabriella," and it is a combination of fashion posts, life stories, literature, and more. Anyone whom has followed my blogging knows that I've made no shortage of featuring Gabriella and her work. Everything from my other "Beauties" posts featuring her as well as my posts on "StyleSpace by JBM" feature Gabriella in some sort of capacity. The young Otaku dancer who goes by "Sunny Musikki" is an Italian girl named Elena. She performs to high-energy Japanese songs while dressing up in fun outfits. Allow me to share with you a sample of her dancing. This was really the first video of hers I've seen and enjoyed. It was her dancing to "Onnaji Kimochi" from TOKYO GIRLS STYLE. Here is her video:

Selena Gomez (Italy - Honorable Mention!)

Selena Gomez has both Mexican and Italian ancestry. So with being half-Mexican and half-Italian more than qualifies this Texas girl as part of the Southern European beauties. Selena gets her Italian ancestry from her adopted mother. In case you don't know who Selena Gomez is, here is a brief look at her. Selena Marie Gomez is a (born: July 22, 1992)-year old actress and singer. She has dated Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber before. Most of her acting fame was made with the Disney Channel series "Wizards of Waverly Place" among other work she's done for Disney.

Valentina Monetta (San Marino).

Valentina Monetta was born in the Republic of San Marino. This (born: March 1, 1975)-year old is a singer. She has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest a couple of times. Here is the beautiful Valentina Monetta singing:

Tina Petelin (Slovenia).

Miss Slovenia 2009 is (born: October 28, 1985)-year old Tina Petelin of Maribor, Slovenia. She is a fashion model. This very brief video features the beautiful Slovenian: Miss - Tina Petelin - potujem s Sonckom.

Sandra Adam (Slovenia).

2010's Miss Slovenia (Miss Slovenije) is named Sandra Adam, and she comes from Slovenia's capital city of Ljubljana. She did not compete in the 2010 Miss World pageant because she backed out of the competition late. Here is an interview done by Sandra Adam: Miss Slovenije 2010 Sandra Adam.

Anjeza Barbatovci (Slovenia).

Also from Ljubljana, Slovenia is Miss Earth Slovenia 2012 winner Anjeza Barbatovci. So it is safe to say this beauty wants to make the world a better place. The theme in 2012 for Miss Earth 2012 was on sustainable energy. This was a cause Anjeza was dedicated working towards. As much as I appreciate her efforts, there's one problem. Anjeza's hot looks are doing nothing to help reverse global warming! :D

Tatjana Jeremic (Croatia).

Tatjana Jeremic won Miss Croatia in 2007. The native of Vukovar, Croatia was born in 1990. She represented Croatia at Miss World 2007.

Ivana, of "a little place to call my own" (Croatia).

This is a blog called "a little place to call my own," and it is run by Croatian cutie Ivana. Her blog features both travel pictures and some of her fashion looks. She is a great supporter of my online work. So therefore, I salute this fine blogger by featuring her here. JUST SO YOU KNOW... I wanted to honor Ivana all along in my European Beauties series. I wasn't sure which to put her into. I initially had her in my initial "Northern European Beauties" blog post because when I did a translate, it said Lithuanian, and Lithuania was part of the nations represented in my "Northern European Beauties" post. I did another translation some time later, and it came out Croatian- which fits in line with this blog post. I absolutely apologize for the inconvenience.

American Beauties: Northeast

The American Northeast will be featured as my American Beauties series continues. I featured a few from the Mid-Atlantic states, and I decided to continue with more from the American Northeast. So get ready to come across a variety of ladies I've made mention to from this part of the United States. These featured personalities range from celebrities to bloggers and more. It is my own personal look at some of America's loveliest ladies. My Beauties posts are not any definitive beauties, but it is my own look at various lovely people. You may not even know who I will feature. Whomever I do feature, it is maybe the most diverse array of lovelies that I can provide to all of my readers. I may also add more beauties to this blog post, so this initial list is not the ONLY list of beauties relevant to this region I want to make mention to!

So let's continue this series by taking a look at American beauties from the Northeast! I was careful including some information on some of the featured personalities. I want to respectfully feature certain personalities without pulling any real sensitive information.

Beautiful American ladies. I love doing these "Beauties" posts regarding some of the world's loveliest ladies, but I have decided to go close to home for this series. What you will see here is my list of various beauties representing the United States. You may not know who I may feature. What you probably will be aware of is certain personalities I've showcased based on certain interests of mine. As you may be aware in my blog posts, while I do mention those in Beauties posts as women, some of my Beauties posts may NOT be exclusively feminine. So you'll see a little of everything.

Here is a preview of what all this series will entail. There is no really serious designation in picking out a set region for which to feature each location. I will break up my American Beauties focus into five individual regions:

(REGION: Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana)

• American Beauties: Pacific
(REGION: California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii)

American Beauties: This Region.

The region I will feature in this post is of Northeastern beauties. These are mostly personalities from New England. This post consists of a nine-state region that I will define as Northeast. I don't feel I totally succeed at posting about certain people if I don't cover every location. Or at least, as many as possible. I will attempt to find at least one personality to feature from the following states:

• Pennsylvania
• New Jersey
• New York
• Connecticut
• Rhode Island
• Massachusetts
• Vermont
• New Hampshire
• Maine

And when it comes to New York, it is obviously important I mention folks from New York City. However, I also want to make sure I cover upstate New York. So I'll be sure to feature some upstate New York personalities in addition to the greater New York City folks.

Taylor Swift.

Taylor Alison Swift hails from the city known as "Tree City USA"- Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, USA. This 5'11" country pop star born on December 13, 1989 has won the hearts of America with her great singing and funny personality. Taylor Swift mostly began as this country cutie. She's the girl who will don a cute sundress and pair them with a pair of cowboy boots. She also has boasted some of the most beautiful curly hair of any celebrity past or present. As she matured and as she became a Cover Girl, Taylor Swift has become more fierce in her style. She remains modest, but her looks have certainly changed. I personally think Taylor looks a WHOLE lot different with straight hair rather than with the beautiful curls I've known her for. Besides her looks, she is an awesome singer/songwriter who has even done her share of acting. One more thing about Taylor Swift- she is very funny and can be very silly. I think if she decides to get away from music, she may have a great career as a comedian.

Gabriella, of "Principessa Gabriella".

Pennsylvania's "principessa" (Italian for "princess") is the beautiful Gabriella. The curvy blogger showcases not only blog posts but also some of her own advice and literature. Coming across her blog long ago has been a tremendous pleasure. She even influenced me to blog about her favorite musician, Alexz Johnson. I owe so much to her in me expanding my blogging range. Gabriella showcases her style posting multiple outfits in one posts. If Gabriella is reading this, ciao! ^_^

Arielle, of "Adventures Uncensored."

One lady is a true survivor. Arielle has battled eating disorders and is using her influence to help motivate and inspire others. The Pennsylvanian caught my attention when I was randomly looking up videos of a pop singer named Arielle Lee. This Arielle I eventually came across provided beautiful messages in all of her motivational videos as well as her work with "WeRFreedomFighters"- a YouTube channel devoted to helping others deal with eating disorders. What makes Arielle beautiful besides her lovely looks are twofold- her willingness to motivate and help others while also sharing beautiful and powerful messages to help those who may need some sort of guidance. I will demonstrate to you one of Arielle's many wonderful motivational pieces. She sometimes offers a variety of mixed motivational and inspirational messages in her series of motivational mash-ups. I think she has a very sweet voice in addition to her wonderful looks. Please take a look and enjoy... and also take in some inspiration:

Kimberly, of "Sensible Stylista."

Korean cutie Kimberly Kong is a fashion blogger from Pittsburgh, PA, USA; by way of Baltimore, MD, USA. I first learned of her through her LOOKBOOK posts. She showcases her style which is mostly of classy outfits. She does dress things down often times besides her chic outfits. Her range of styles is immense. So go visit her blog and check out her various styles.

Kelly, of "DressWellBeWell."

Kelly Bibza runs the fashion blog "Dress Well, Be Well." This beautiful woman from Pittsburgh, PA, USA discusses fashion and health in her blog. Her fashion style is quite diverse ranging from casual pieces to more elegant ones. Despite her beauty, Kelly has endured some ugly health issues in her life. She suffers from Lyme Disease. Kelly remains beautiful in looks and personality. In fact, she says her love of fashion keeps her going each day! Visit her blog to see this beautiful lady and her equally fine style.

Danielle, of "indie.electronic.alternative.".

The wild child named Danielle is a fashion blogger from Pennsylvania who runs "indie.electronic.alternative." Rather than just fashion, she also discusses music- and especially music left of the mainstream. She is unique in her own right in regards to fashion. Her styles can be cool and casual or even feminine with toughness. A trademark of her style usually involves something fringed or a a tough (yet chic) pair of boots.

Nicole Haboush.

The "Cute Grid Girl" of motorsport.com is Tampa Bay resident Nicole Haboush. This blonde lady brings sunshine to all with her amazing beauty. Nicole calls the Sunshine State home, but this sunny cutie is from New Jersey. She is a businesswoman who runs a yacht charter service in Florida. The link provided takes you to her business and even includes a picture of the beautiful lady.

Heidi Van Horne.

Heidi Van Horne was born in Princeton, New Jersey. She was raised in Texas by two native New Yorkers (according to IMDb), so I put her among my Northeast beauties because of this. I always call Heidi Van Horne as the world's hottest pin-up girl. I even got to meet her once at the Houston Auto Show. Heidi usually contributes to the Houston Chronicle in regards to automotive material. This video is a sample of the hot Heidi Van Horne:

You may only know of Kimara Lovelace if you've played "Ridge Racer Type 4" and heard "Movin' in Circles" and "One More Win." Kimara Lovelace is a New Jersey girl who is great singing Lounge-type songs.

Nikki Blonsky.

Nikki Blonsky is one of the sweetest famous faces in America. She is both curvy and petite- standing 4'10". However, her talent and her personality far exceed her petite frame. The (born: November 9, 1988)-year old is a native of Great Neck, New York, USA. Many people know her as the star of the movie musical "Hairspray." Others may know of her from "Huge" on ABC Family, and most others know her for dating Zac Efron. I think of her as the super-cute and down-to-earth lady whom also happens to be a talented actress and a talented singer. Here is a cute sample of her singing:

Lady Gaga.

Meet the Madonna of our current generation- Stefani Joanne Angelica Germanotta - better known as Lady Gaga. I personally like her music. Most others look for any reason to hate on her. Lady Gaga is from New York City, New York. She is someone not afraid to speak her mind or express herself any way she chooses. One of her most controversial moments was when the 5'1" pop superstar wore a meat dress to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009. For all she's worth, Lady Gaga is a superstar that transcends both music and art. Why people hate on her is beyond me. I actually like a lot of her music.

Paris Hilton.

"That's hot!" The most famous socialite in this day an age is one Paris Whitney Hilton. Say what you want about the (born: February 17, 1981)-year old, but Paris Hilton is surely a beautiful lady. She was born in New York City, New York. Paris has extended her appeal into acting and music. As of this inclusion of Paris Hilton to my "American Beauties" series, she recently signed a music deal with Cash Money Records to be in the realm of electronic pop music.

BellQees, of "BellQees Fashion Blog."

She is known as BellQees. Of Palestinian descent and from the greater New York City area, this is a stylish lady who I first came across in the blogosphere. Here is an older video featuring this beauty.

Lauren, of "North of Manhattan".

Lauren Recchia is a stylish lady from upstate New York. She runs the fashion blog "North of Manhattan." This is a stylish lady who dares to be different. A lot of her outfits and styles may be hit-or-miss to a number of people. However, Lauren is very much a stylish lady. One needs only follow her fashion blog to gauge her style as a whole. Her fashion insights are expressed in her blog and in social media.

Joan Rivers.

Joan Rangers unite! Many know Joan Rivers as being part of Fashion Police on the E! Network. I best remember the (born: June 8, 1933)-year old Brooklyn native usually in the center square on the old Hollywood Squares game show. Many more know Joan for her highly successful career on The Carol Burnett Show. Those who just know her on "Fashion Police" know her as the outspoken host who sometimes comes up with some of the most brutal jokes regarding certain celebrities. Let's just say she's about the oldest beauty I will feature in this American Beauties series of blog posts. Sadly, Joan Rivers passed away at the age of 81 in 2014.

Gangnam Style!

The latest craze is Gangnam Style. This is the musical and dancing phenomenon started by the entertainer PSY. You are going to get a full course of Korean loving here in this "John's Blog Space" post. Most of you know I love Japan. However, Koreans can be just as entertaining (or weird) and awesome. So I got to give the Korean crowd some love. Most of the time, I don't give into trends or immediately want to get my voice across based on some of the latest trends and phenomena in social media. Usually, my involvement in some trend or phenomena just means I am just another voice or entity trying to get my contribution. I figure if I'm going to be part of something, I'll have to be original and distinctive. So that's why I don't take part in things like Internet memes, certain online trends, certain trends in the news, etc. But in a rare exception, I decided to show some Gangnam Style here.

So what the heck is Gangnam style? Watch the video, learn the moves, and see for yourself:

This video has 740M YouTube hits for a reason. Let me say this- "Gangnam Style" is one catchy song. It's something to latch onto and enjoy, unlike the unspeakably annoying "Friday" song from Rebecca Black. And come on now- how can you not get into the groove watching PSY go to work Gangnam Style. Even typing up this blog post, I was doing the Gangnam Style dance myself sitting on my bed! :) Hey- just because I'm a blogger doesn't mean I can't have fun blogging, okay!? But really can't really help but doing those horse riding moves. That even includes Texans like myself. We're used to horse and cattle here in Texas. So imagine doing the Gangnam Style in a place so used to horses and cattle.

But like I said earlier- Gangnam Style is immensely catchy.

[Briefly] About PSY.

(Born: December 31, 1977)-year old Park Jae-Sang is the South Korean fellow known by the stage name of PSY. He has been active on the music scene since 1999. The single "Gangnam Style" marked the sixth album by PSY. This song was CLEARLY the hottest song of Summer 2012.
